Snoop Dogg Announces “A Death Row Summer,” His New Album
Snoop Dogg announced the release of his new album, A Death Row Summer. During a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday. Snoop did release a new track for the album, “Touch Away,” while keeping specifics about the project to a limited. Snoop and October London collaborated on the track.
“About to drop this Death Row summer album,” Snoop stated in the social media clip taken from the studio. “A Death Row Summer. New single just dropped last night. Check it out. We’ve been in the metaverse, now we back in the universe.”
He didn’t say when it will be out, but he did say it would be “coming soon.”
Following Snoop’s acquisition of Death Row in February, the album is Death Row’s second release in 2022. Snoop Dogg, who released much of his discography through the label, including Doggystyle in 1993 and the Murder Was the Case album in 1995, has expressed his joy at being back where it all began.
“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” Snoop stated in a press release shared by Blackstone then, he then continued by saying “feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career and as one of the founding members.”
