Drake Won $17 Million While Playing Roulette When Lil Baby Walked In

Drake has a lot of luck when it comes to gambling, but one of his most recent and greatest wins may be credited to Lil Baby.

The OVO singer livestreamed himself playing roulette last week as part of a giveaway event with online casino platform Stake, in which he shared his winnings with fans all over the world.

Drake won $17.9 million on a single roulette bet at one point during the high-stakes session. Lil Baby casually walked into the room just as the Toronto native and his friends were erupting in laughter.

“You know why that happened?” Drake remarked this as he basked in the glory of his big win. “Because Baby walked in! That’s why.”

Drake’s lucky charm, Lil Baby, was much more than that. Aubrey mentioned during the Stake webcast that he was in the studio at his enormous Toronto estate working on a new collaboration.

“By the way, my brother Lil Baby’s in the studio right now. He’s cooking up, we’re working,” Drake told viewers. “But he’s gonna come and do some spins with us tonight too.”

Following “Wants and Needs,” “Girls Want Girls,” “Yes Indeed,” and “Never Recover,” the untitled single will join a growing line of Drake and Lil Baby collaborations that have all charted in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Drake And NBA Fights For The Most Streamed Artist Of 2022

Drake And NBA YoungBoy Fights For The Most Streamed Artist Of 2022

Drake and NBA YoungBoy have long dominated streaming services, often ranking among the most streamed artists year after year. When it comes to mass consumption of their music, the two guys are once again neck and neck, according to Chart Data.

Drake and YoungBoy currently hold the top two rankings in terms of most-streamed acts in music in 2022. Drizzy presently has 200 million more streams than YoungBoy, at three billion compared to 2.8 billion. Several Hip Hop and R&B superstars, including The Weeknd at two billion streams, Kanye West at 1.9 billion, Lil Durk at 1.7 billion, Eminem at 1.5 billion, and Future at 1.5 billion, are tied for fourth place with 2.2 billion streams so far this year.

Hip Hop has been the most popular music on streaming platforms since 2017, and Drake and YoungBoy have only cemented their position. Drizzy already racked up 1.4 billion streams when Chart Data computed total streams for artists through the first two months of the year. YoungBoy came in second with 1.3 billion streams over the 10-week span, but other major talents like Kodak Black and Rod Wave haven’t maintained the same level of fan engagement.

YoungBoy surpassed J. Cole and Future in terms of certifications with 71 in February, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Despite being at odds with his label home, Atlantic Records, YoungBoy flaunted the outcome of his hard work on Instagram in the months following the RIAA’s initial declaration.

Drake Wins A Million Dollars After Betting On The Golden State Warriors To Rule The West

Drake Wins A Million Dollars After Betting On The Golden State Warriors To Rule The West

Drake enjoys risking his money. He’s been betting on Stake, an online betting site, all year, and it appears that he’s just won big again. Drizzy received a large sum of money on Thursday (May 26) when the Golden State Warriors won the Western Conference.

Back in April, the Toronto resident bet $200,000 on the Dubs to win the West, and he showed off his winnings on his Instagram Story Friday night. According to his account, the 6 God won a cool $1 million on his wager.

In the Western Conference Finals, Steph Curry and his brothers defeated Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks by a score of four games to one. They’ll play in the NBA Finals for the sixth time in eight years against the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals series between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics, which Boston currently leads three games to two.

Drake has been betting on the Super Bowl and other NBA Playoff games on Stake. Drake has already wagered over $1 billion on Stake since joining on December 28, 2021, and he’s become such a fan of the site that he struck a deal to help promote it.

When Drizzy isn’t betting on basketball, he’s either playing or watching some games. He’s also assisting his pals in getting jobs with professional teams. J. Cole signed with the Scarborough Shooting Stars of the Canadian Elite Basketball League last week, and the 6 God had a hand in it.

Quavo Trolls Drake: “They Don’t Want Us At The OVO Arena”

Quavo is a basketball fanatic. Last year, the rapper claimed to be hip hop’s finest basketball player, and he’s been demonstrating his abilities. Last year, he and YK Osiris dominated Mustard in a game, and in a game of street basketball in Brooklyn, he embarrassed a fan.

The Migos member now appears to be setting his sights higher. Quavo showed off some of his basketball abilities in a recent Instagram story, with the remark, “They don’t want us at the OVO arena so we take 7 footers instead!”

Drake enjoys basketball as well. The rapper demonstrated his abilities in a 2-on-2 match in 2021. Since then, he’s made a large purchase in the basketball card market, and he and LeBron James have donated $100,000 to a high school basketball player and his mother. He’s also been working hard to teach his son the sport. A video showcasing Adonis’ skills was proudly released on Instagram by the Toronto rapper a few months ago. In a recent video, he showed his son imitating one of the game’s all-time greats, LeBron James.

Off the court, Quavo has been busy. He’s been avoiding inquiries regarding speculations that Migos is breaking up after Offset and Takeoff unfollowed each other on Twitter. He and Takeoff recently collaborated on “Hotel Lobby,” a hot new tune.

Lil Baby was the main act on Saturday night. In typical festival fashion, he used his time on stage to bring out a very special guest  Drake  to sing their hit collaboration “Girls Want Girls,” from Champagne Papi’s Certified Lover Boy album.

Lil Baby couldn’t visit Canada without bringing his best friend with him.

While we’ve already seen performances from Trippie Redd, Tory Lanez, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Don Toliver, Polo G, Sheck Wes, and Lakeyah. We still have Lil Tecca, DaBaby, and 50 Cent to watch today at the Montreal Metro Metro Festival.

The crowd was ecstatic to see Drizzy, and they chanted along word for word as the Toronto native cheered them up, according to footage caught by a showgoer.

Drake and Baby have already showed their affection for one another on the road. But in 2018, the latter joined the former for the final stop of his Aubrey & The Three Amigos Tour in Atlanta, Georgia.

Nana Zen, David Campana, Emma Beko, Naya Ali, and Niska performed other Saturday shows prior to the father of one’s surprise pitstop.

Future recently released I NEVER LIKED YOU, his eighth number one album in his career. The rapper’s latest album follows up on High Off Life, which featured the huge single “Life Is Good.” As Future and Drake reminisced on their hard work and desire for money during the start of the pandemic, the song became an unavoidable anthem.

Their track record together is undeniable at this point, and after years of creating timeless singles, they finally hit the top of the charts with “Way 2 Sexy” in 2021. Future’s first #1 single, Certified Lover Boy, debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Following the publication of I NEVER LIKED YOU, they’ve done it yet again. This week, Drake and Tems’ “Wait For U” topped the Billboard Hot 100. According to ChartData, it’s also the week’s best-selling single. Since its release on April 29th, “Wait For U” has reportedly sold over 300,000 copies. This comes after the duo unveiled the song’s official video last week.

It’s a great day for Drake and Future, who have another another #1 on the charts together. Tems, on the other hand, earned her first Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper of her career. It’s unlikely to be her last.

Future Teases New Music And Talks About Working With Drake On “I’m On One”

Future recently released I Never Liked You, as well as the deluxe edition, which arrived on Monday morning. Future could have much more heat in store for the rest of the spring and summer, if not the year. This isn’t surprising, as fans have speculated that he’ll release two albums in a row, albeit there’s no proof of the rumor.

Future revealed plans to release new music before the end of the year in a recent interview with Apple Music. He stated that he intends to come through with more heat, but that he first wants to lay the groundwork for his artists.

“I’m going to put music out. I’m going to put more music out, but my team, you know what I’m saying, little double oh, double oh seven, then Boston Richie and just got there and really just put music out with them. They dropping next, so it’s really about them. You know what I’m saying? Just showcasing the homies that’s coming up behind me or whatever. Just giving them that super work ethic. But they already building their own buzz up on their own, so it’s going good,” he said.

Future Teases New Music And Talks On His Collaboration With Drake

He also spoke about his standout collaboration with Drake on “I’m On One” later in the interview. While the two have had a long and fruitful connection on wax, the song came about when Future revealed it to the Canadian rapper.

“We just did those records just because it was just the timing of it, but it was inevitable, you know what I’m saying, for it to happen like that. I’m thinking I was in LA when I recorded that song [I’m On One] I played it for him after I did it. Once it was done, I played the record for him,” he stated.

Pusha T Shuts Down A Possible Collaboration With Drake & Kanye West

Pusha T Shuts Down A Possible Collaboration With Drake & Kanye West

Pusha T ruled out collaborating with Drake following their recent internet feud despite Kanye West’s reconciliation with the Toronto rapper.

Many people wondered how Pusha T felt about Ye and Drizzy reuniting and putting their differences aside for the Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert. They also wondered if he would ever do the same. During a recent appearance on Shade45 as part of his It’s Almost Dry publicity tour, he addressed both questions.

“I thought that was good for them,” King Push said. I think they have this thing where, like, they sorta need to co-exist. Those two need to co-exist in their world and play within where they at.”

Pusha T and Drake’s relationship deteriorated over time, and the two traded diss recordings. While King Push stated that he has no animosity toward the Toronto rapper, he also stated that he has no intention of working with him.

When asked if he’d ever collaborate with Drake and Ye on a single, Pusha T said, “Nah! No, I’m cool on all of that. I know the song I wanna make, I know the people I wanna work with, and it ain’t that. He continued, “I want Ye to produce it, but other than that, I definitely don’t wanna do a record.”

Drake Dropped From Chris Brown's "No Guidance" Copyright Lawsuit

Drake Dropped From Chris Brown’s “No Guidance” Copyright Lawsuit

Drake Dropped From Chris Brown’s “No Guidance” Copyright Lawsuit

Drake is out of a copyright infringement case launched in October against Chris Brown for his song “No Guidance.” Songwriters Braindon Cooper and Timothy Valentine claim the song is a rip-off of their song “I Love Your Dress,” which they released in 2016.

Cooper and Valentine will pursue Brown and Sony Music Entertainment in their lawsuit. On Tuesday, the two dropped Drake’s name. It’s unclear if this was due to a settlement agreement or a lack of faith in their case against the Toronto rapper.

On June 8, 2019, the song “No Guidance” was out and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Brown’s album Indigo featured the song.

Brown and Drake defended themselves by claiming that they had never heard “I Love Your Dress,” which they described as “obscure.”

Cooper and Valentine stated that because an artist is more famous than another does not exempt them from copyright laws.

“This argument – essentially that defendants are somehow immune from copyright infringement claims by individuals who are not as famous as they are – is both egotistical and without any legal basis whatsoever,” they both stated in February. “Undoubtedly, regardless of their fame and status, defendants may be, and should be, held accountable for their infringement.”

Drake Adds A Major Streaming Achievement To His Resumé

Drake Adds A Major Streaming Achievement To His Resumé

Drake’s 2021 stream totals were so high that entire decades of music could not compete.

Every few months, music industry publications like Chart Research and Billboard update fans on the latest streaming statistics. The new data reveals that Drake has more slaps than The Beatles, and more slaps than all music published before to 1980 combined.

Drake’s Record Breaking Statistics

Drake had record-breaking streaming numbers in 2021, claiming that he out-streamed all music released before 1980 in all streaming platforms.

The streaming stats were first reported by Luminate, and then Billboard investigated them and confirmed that Drake produced more demand streams than pre-1980 records.

Only 0.6 percent of music released between 1950 and 1979 got accessed with demand streaming, according to Billboard’s final analysis. Drake’s 8.6 billion on-demand streams alone accounted for 0.8 percent of total streams in 2021.

Drizzy’s Grammy-nominated and chart-topping sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy was responsible for a huge part of his streaming. The album got derided upon its release, but according to Chart Data, it has sold 2,464,000 album-equivalent copies to date.
