Donda 2! Kanye West Won’t Charge $200
DONDA 2! Kanye West will not charge $200 for the new album, it will be available on an app called Stem Player. Last night, Kanye West said that unlike what has been the trend, Donda 2 will be available on all streaming platforms.
However, he said the album will be available on his platform, Stem Player. A lot of Ye fans believed they would have to buy Stem Player before they could listen to it.
Ye always attempt to change the traditions of art and music. To make it clearer, had earlier announced that Donda 2 will not be available on streaming platforms but his platform, Stem Player.
Furthermore, Kanye West pointed out that the streaming platforms’ inability to accurately handle musician finances led to his decision. He said on his Instagram page that “Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple, Amazon, Spotify, or YouTube. Today artists get just 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take control and build our own. Go to stemplayer.com now to order.”
In the early hours this morning, Ye posted on his IG: “Donda 2 will only be streaming on my own platform, the stem player. You can download new music from stemplayer.com. You can play 4 different elements of the track: vocals, drums, bass and music. It also has a MP3 player available. We currently have 67,000 available and are making 3,000 a day. Go click the link in my bio to purchase.”
So, you don’t need to spend your $200 to bump the new Yeezy.
What are your thoughts about the Stem Player? Do you mind listening to Donda 2 when it is released?
