Jennifer Lopez Talks About Her Early Relationship With Ben Affleck
Jen and Ben were Hollywood sweethearts when they got engaged a few months later in 2002. They postponed their wedding in 2003 and eventually divorced in January 2004. In 2021, the couple famously rekindled their romance.
Lopez recently opened up about their romance in the early 2000s and what went wrong.
Despite being in love at the time, the young couple found the intense scrutiny in the spotlight to be too much for them. Jennifer and Ben Gives Their Relationship A New Approach
This time, Jennifer and Ben are taking a different approach to their relationship. People magazine quoted her as saying, “We both were like, ‘Wow, we’re so happy and we don’t want any of that to come into play again.’ We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We’re so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us.”
