DJ Khaled was joined by loved ones and celebrity pals as he was honored with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The We The Best CEO was joined at his induction into the exclusive club by renowned hip-hop icons. During the ceremony on Monday, Jay-Z, Diddy, and Fat Joe applauded DJ Khaled (Apr. 11).

During one of the longest handshakes ever, Jay-Z and Khaled exchanged pleasantries. While accepting the award, he was joined by his family, which included his wife Nicole and their two kids Asahd and Aalam.

DJ Khaled On What The Star Means To Him

While Jay-Z and Diddy looked on from the front row, DJ Khaled gave an emotional speech about what the star means to him. “I’m not a regular type of person, I’m a different type,” he said. “There’s only one Khaled… I want my star to represent the light, the love that shines on everyone. God put me on earth to be a light.”

Khaled added: “The room can be pitch dark and when I walk in it’s bright. When it’s dark I’m the light and when it’s the light I’m a brighter light… So I want everyone to take this star light and know that this is forever and this is for all of us… That’s why I always say we’re the best and scream and keep going because it’s not just me, it’s we.”

Meanwhile, ahead of Monday’s celebration, the DJ and sneakerhead revealed his cooperation with Jordan Brand. Kanye West gave his blessing to DJ Khaled as he showed off the new Jumpman colours and designs.
