On Tuesday, June 30^th, N.O.R.E was talking with the Breakfast Club about the possibility of a face-off with Beanie Sigel in a Verzuz battle. He acknowledged Beanie’s lyrical prowess but thought that the Broad Street Bully is not fit enough to hold him in a verzuz Match –up. N.O.R.E is a Hip Hop icon from Queens Brooklyn. Both N.O.R.E and Beanie are celebrated Hip Hop artists of the late ’90s and early 2000s. They were the lyrical genius of those days and they both used to top the Billboard charts for their unwavering grit and influential music they used to do. The discussion with the Breakfast Club is an indication that they may be planning to turn back the clock to give their fans a surprise comeback through A verzuz battle showdown.

“I know what Beanie is thinking, he thinking he’s the better lyricist, and guess what Beans, I tip my hat off to you every day,” N.O.R.E. said on the call. “But this isn’t about lyricism. This is about hit for hits. If we go in the club, I have never had a show with Beanie Sigel where I opened up. Beanie Sigel has always been my opener.”

During the interview, N.O.R.E made statements which The Breakfast Club host termed as disrespect to the Philadelphia legend Beanie Sigel. But he was persistent in his lyrical flow to tear down Beanies image as unfit to match his lyrics in a battle. He claimed to also have demolished Beanie’s Roc-A-Fella label mate Memphis Bleek in a show back then during their hay days. His track ‘Super Thug’ topped the airwaves back then, he also on a lighter note indicated that whatever he had said was a joke and thus nothing to be taken seriously. He claimed he wasn’t into a competition with Beanie and above all he respects him and his music.

DMX’s death was a shocking reality on April 9^TH when he suffered a heart attack and passed away White Plains Hospital. The Hip Hop Legend is described by many to have died before his time as many of his ardent fans believed that he still had a lot to offer and therefore the death denied them of that oblivious expectations. DMX was a reigning Hip Hop artist and a founding member of Ruff Ryders Recording Label which has produced major artists and award winning Tracks in the History of Hip Hop, he was an icon and a living legend whose legacy outlived himself before his death. Even after his death, one of his Tracks was released last month, Exodus was among the last tracks DMX was working on before meeting this untimely death which shook the world of Hip Hop.

During the Sunday 27tyh BET Awards, DMX’s legacy dominated the speeches as his longtime friend and producer Swizz Beatz, Method Man, Busta Rhymes, Griselda and other   many artists honored him with a stunning tribute performance. During a Complex interview, his producer Swizz Beatz explained the emotional moment after artist after artist started the performances with an honor to his long legacy in the Showbiz. “You see a lot of tributes and you can almost predict [what’s going to happen],” Swizz Beatz further went on to explain how BET selected his best tracks and went on to choose artists who matched Dmx’s energy in performance. “BET picked the songs that did well on their platforms for him. I had different songs in mind, but the way BET picked the songs made sense. Then we just started picking artists who matched those energies. I mean, DMX had his own energy. But everybody is bringing their energy to it as well.
