Wiz Khalifa’s Heartfelt Tribute to Fallen Friends at Sauce Boyz Festival

In a heartfelt tribute, Wiz Khalifa remembers lost talents during his festival set.

The hip-hop community has mourned the loss of several extraordinary individuals in recent years. Although death is an inevitable part of life, its impact remains profound, particularly when these stories remain intertwined with our lives. Just this week, one of the individuals involved in XXXTentacion’s tragic murder was sentenced, and last weekend, Pop Smoke’s killer finally confessed.

Wiz Khalifa has always worn his heart on his sleeve, and his recent performance at the Sauce Boyz Festival in Puerto Rico showcased his poignant gesture. As he took the stage, the screens behind him displayed a tribute reel honoring the industry’s stars lost in recent times. Among the featured figures were Lil Peep, King Von, Young Dolph, Pop Smoke, Nipsey Hussle, XXXTentacion, Juice WRLD, Mac Miller, and Takeoff, alongside many others. Regrettably, many of these artists met untimely deaths due to homicides or acts of violence.

This touching moment served as a poignant reminder of the profound losses felt by the industry. The song “See You Again,” performed by Khalifa, was originally created as a tribute to Paul Walker following the actor’s tragic death in a car accident in 2013. The track, featuring Charlie Puth, reached #1 on the Billboard 100 chart. Although it was initially dedicated to Walker, the song resonates with anyone mourning the loss of a beloved artist. We invite you to share which artist’s passing impacted you the most in the comments below. Stay updated with all the latest music news.

600 Breezy Says If Quavo Takes the Stand in Takeoff’s Murder Case He will Be Labeled a Snitch

600 Breezy expressed his concern for Quavo about Takeoff’s murder. He said in order for Quavo to save his rap music career, he should be mindful of taking a stand in Takeoff’s murder in order for fans not to see him as a snitch. He said that when he made an appearance on Vlad TV podcast.

In his word, the Chicago rapper said, “I doubt one bit that Quavo would get on the stand and say anything that’ll make people say, ‘Oh, Quavo a snitch.’ For the sake of his career and all that shit? His nephew gone. His nephew dead and gone. Nothing he can do to bring him back.”

600 Breezy stated further: “He wouldn’t do that to himself. If Quavo sat there and took the stand to say anything about that situation, he got the snitch jacket on him now.”

He admitted that rules are rules. Yet, he didn’t believe all rules make sense.

He said: “Where we come from and how we live, it’s just the rules how it’s set up. You can’t be a snitch. You can’t be labeled as a snitch, you don’t want to be a snitch. It’s codes. A lot of this shit is stupid – don’t get me wrong.”

Takeoff’s Murder Suspect Tried To Obtain An Emergency Passport

More details are being released following the news that the alleged murderer of takeoff was apprehended. The Public was perplexed as to why it took the police so long to make an arrest in the case. According to reports, Takeoff and Quavo were at a private event in Houston when a verbal incident took place. Takeoff, was hit by gunfire and was labeled a “Innocent bystander” by the police.

According to court documents, “Takeoff alleged killer, Patrick Clark, (DJ Pat) applied for an Emergency Passport days after killing Takeoff and booked a flight to Mexico,” Akademiks stated.

“When police arrested him, he had large amounts of cash on him. Prosecutors claim he’s a flight risk for bond.”

DJ Pat is a familiar name in Houston’s music circles, and Akademiks’ update arrived after Houston PD held a press conference. It is unclear how Takeoff’s alleged killer is connected to the group that also attended the event where the rapper was gunned down.

I can tell you Takeoff was not involved in playing the dice game, he was not involved in the argument that happened outside, he was not armed, he was an innocent bystander,” HPD Sgt. Micheal Burrow said.

He suggested that the investigation has stalled because of the lack of witnesses willing to speak with the authorities.

“Literally, every single one of those people left the scene without giving a statement to police,” Burrow said. It’s important that those people come forward.”

KHOU 11 News also reported that the mayor of Houston has pleaded with the public to help with the investigation.

“I don’t give anyone an out. If you were there an you saw something, and you know something, you don’t get a pass,”

Mayor Sylvester Turner said. “There are too many young men, and I’ll be even be more specific, too many young men of color who are killing other young men of color. And that has to stop, that has to stop.”
